Now open to  wine and culinary arts!


  • Identify and reduce barriers encountered by BIPOC individuals pursuing a career in wine or the culinary arts.

  • Encourage and support BIPOC advancement in the food and wine industry.


Pick your prize or enter both!

  • One participant will receive enrollment/tuition support in a wine certification program or support for your small business needs. Prize value: up to $1000.

  • One participant will receive professional development support for books, stemware, equipment, supplies, marketing expenses or registration fees for wine related activities such as workshops, trade shows, expositions and tastings et. Prize value: up to $500.



  • Submission dates Monday December 27, 2021 - Tuesday January 25, 2022

  • Winners announced the week of January 30, 2022 on SpeakWineToMe.com and on Insta  @speakwinetome

official contest rules 

  • Minimum age to participate: 21.

  • This contest is open to residents of the United States only.

  • This contest is open to all participants with an expressed interest or current engagement in the industries of wine and culinary arts. 

  • Each entry will be evaluated for alignment with the purpose of the contest and for feasibility of fulfilling the request (i.e. availability of secure payment method to the organization or merchant), as well as compliance with entry requirements. 

  • Limit one entry per participant per category.

  • Entries cannot be submitted on behalf of another person.

  • If the winner is unable or unwilling to participate in the submitted event or course for any reason, the prize will be deemed  forfeited. All eligible refunds of payments made to organizations, vendors, or merchants on behalf of the winner will be refunded to the payer and the winner will not be permitted to postpone collection of the prize or transfer application of prize to another event, product, person, or prize category. 

  • No prize will be distributed as cash to the winner.

  • All participants are responsible for providing reliable contact information. It is the responsibility of the participant to verify winner status via the stated means (SpeakWineToMe.com, @speakwinetome) within 30 days of winner announcement.

  • Prizes must be redeemed within 30 days of winner announcement. After 30 days, the prize will be deemed forfeited.

  • Personal information will not be used for purposes other than notification and announcement of the winner and in any case where tax law requires report of winnings over a certain amount. Your data will not be sold, distributed, or used for other marketing purposes.

  • Prizes are non-transferable and will only be used towards expenses specified at the time of contest entry. Additional fees and other expenses above the prize amount are the responsibility of the participant.

  • *Gift certificates, including those for purchases from wine merchants, must fall within the legal limits regarding gifts and awards of alcohol and alcohol related items in your state or country; for example, the California Business and Professional Code forbids awarding alcoholic beverages or anything that can be redeemed for alcoholic beverages. Participant can suggest a business for the gift certificate, but the ultimate selection will be made by the contest coordinator.

  • **Total expenses must not exceed the cost of the item(s) plus shipping. Winner agrees to the shipment of prize by the contest coordinator to the winner's address.

  • Prizes cannot be converted to cash.

  • Submissions and winner announcement by midnight eastern standard time on dates indicated. 

  • No purchase is necessary to enter this contest and will not increase the odds of winning.

  • Participant agrees to comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing this contest and all prizes offered.

  • This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

  • Prize recipient is responsible for all applicable taxes associated with receiving a prize.

  • Participant agrees to complete release of Instagram and the contest creator/coordinator of all liability including expenses incurred to participate in this contest.

  • This contest is void where prohibited.

  • We reserve the right to disqualify any suspected inappropriate or fraudulent entry.

  • Participation constitutes agreement with all official rules, terms and conditions.
