Generous red fruit hold their own in this barrel-aged wine made from 30-year-old vines. Pomegranate, red currant and cranberry rest at ease with shaved oak and spicy saddle wood constructing a sensuous nose. A little gamey with tannins on edge, this wine could keep a while longer in bottle but drinks delightfully right now thanks to its savory attributes and long finish. A nice one to test your cheese pairing skills.
